INTRODUCTION: In light of the present apostasy in professed Christianity in which so many are departing from Biblical teaching, we feel the necessity to make the following doctrinal state­ment which we believe is consistent with the teachings of God's eternal Word. As a Church, we require all it's members to be in agreement with this statement.

ARTICLE I – Name

The name of this church shall be Heritage Baptist Church of Princeton, IL. Organized on September 30, 2007

ARTICLE II – Purpose

To win the lost to Jesus Christ; to preach and teach the Word of God; to proclaim the Gospel (I Corinthians 15:3-8) to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8); to administer the ordinances (believer's baptism and believer's communion) of the New Testament; to promote Christian concern, fellowship and the spiritual growth of its members and to ordain and license men to the Gospel ministry.

This congregation is organized as a church exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Law. Including, but not limited to, for such purposes, Bible-cen­tered public worship services; the building, main­taining and operating of Churches, parsonages, schools, chapels, radio & television stations, rescue missions, camps, print shops, day care centers, bus ministries, children's ministries, nursing homes, cemeteries, and any other ministry that the church may be led of God to establish.
